The Warp Hub Technique - Professional Beading Loom
Place two golf tees in adjacent holes in each roller (4 tees total used). If your piece is 1-1/2in wide or wider, use 1 golf tee for each inch to support the warp more firmly.
The tees need to be placed firmly in the holes so that they will not shift after you have warped the loom. Place them in holes that approximate the center of your design.
Tie the thread over both tees with a slip knot.
||Wrap around your tees several times to anchor the thread and then go across the loom to the tees on the opposite side.
Wrap the thread around the opposite tees to anchor it and come back across the top of the thread guides.
For the return thread (and subsequent threads) you can do one of two things: lay the return thread in either the next groove over in the thread guide; or count the same number of grooves across as you have warp threads and lay the return thread in that.
In other words, you can warp your piece from side to side or from the outside edges in. Many variations are possible, depending on your design.
Continue with this process going up and over the thread guides and across the top of the loom, maintain the thread pattern (side-to-side or outside in) that you have begun.
