How to use the Sizzix® Big Shot™ Embossing and Cutting Tool

Instructions by Rachel, Content Development Group, Exclusively for Fire Mountain Gems and Beads®

STEP 1
Place an embossing folder onto the embossing pad of the Sizzix Big Shot. Place a patina drop, metal disc, glueFOIL™ or paper into the embossing folder, positioning it on the section of the pattern you would like to be part of your design. Close the folder carefully so you do not disturb the position of the items.
STEP 2
Place the cutting mat over the embossing folder then place the whole assembly into the opening of the QuicKutz tool. Crank the handle so the assembly passes through the rollers.

Reverse the motion so the assembly passes through the rollers a second time and exits the front of the tool.
STEP 3
Remove the cutting mat and open the folder to see your results.

Optional: To heighten the effect of the embossing on the metal, rub a 400 grit polishing paper over the surface of the focal on the embossed design.

Movers and Shapers™ Cutting Dies

STEP 1
Place a die magnetic side down on the metal side of a Movers and Shapers Shuttle. Place the desired material to be cut on top of the die. Place a cutting pad on top of the material.
STEP 2
Slide the assembly into the opening of the Big Shot embosser. Place the whole assembly into the opening of the embosser. Crank the handle so the assembly passes through the rollers.

Remove the assembly from the Big Shot and the cut shape from the assembly.
