Looking for a new way to accent or color wood, metal, leather, polymer clay, ceramics and more? Gilders Paste is a professional wax-based medium that can be mixed or layered for an endless color palette that won't fade. Apply using a variety of techniques such as a gloved finger, sponge, cloth, brush or additional methods. Colors can be mixed or layered for an endless palette of designs.
Paste dries to the touch in 10 - 15 minutes with a recommended complete dry time of 12 - 24 hours. Once dry, polishing with a soft cloth will bring out a luster finish. Applying a water-based acrylic top coat is recommended. Please note that this product may arrive or become dried, giving it a cracked appearance or pulling away from the sides of the container. Revive dry paste or thin paste to gain a translucent effect using paint thinner, mineral spirits or turpentine. A little Gilders Paste goes a long way. A 1.5 ounce canister covers over 30 square feet--that's a lot of applications!
