Ring with Swarovski Crystal and Polymer Clay
: : : Materials : : :
- Chaton, Swarovski crystal rhinestone, crystal clear, foil back, 1.5-1.6mm Xilion round, PP9 (22 chatons)
- Ring finding, silver-finished brass, 4-7.5mm wide with 17x4mm channel, size 7.5 (1 ring)
- Polymer clay
Chaton, Swarovski crystal rhinestone, Indian pink, foil back, 3-3.2mm Xilion round (4 chatons)
Wearing vinyl gloves pinch and roll clay in fingers on an acrylic slate to desired thickness.
Adhere the clay in the open channel of the ring.
Use thumb in a horizontal motion to smooth and get desired thickness.
Attach Swarovski crystals onto the clay in the channel of the ring starting with the PP24 along the middle of the ring (making sure to leave about 1.5-2mm at both the right and left side of the end of the ring).
Completely surround the last Indian pink (PP24) on each end of the ring with the crystal clear PP9 chatons (creating a circle).
Add 2 crystal clear PP9 chatons between the circle of clear crystal and the second pink rhinestone on both sides, then add 1 crystal clear rhinestone in the last spot (between the two PP24s in the middle).
Remove any excess clay around the grooves before baking in an oven at 275 degrees Fahrenheit (135 degrees Celsius) for 18 minutes *(approximately 15 minutes per 6mm).
