Using a Jump Ring Tool

This handy tool will make opening a jump ring a snap!

STEP 1
Place the jump ring tool on the index finger of your non-dominant hand.
STEP 2
Find the slot on the jump ring tool that your jump ring fits into.
STEP 3
Place the jump ring into the slot, positioned so the opening of the jump ring is just above the opening of the slot.
STEP 4
Grasp the jump ring with your dominant hand or with pliers and twist the jump ring open. Spread the legs sideways, not apart.
STEP 5
Add the jump ring to your project then close the jump ring by repeating the steps above in reverse.
