Jewelry designer Jude Wroblewski shows you how to use sanding sticks and sanding rolls that come in multiple grits to help you refine non-ferrous metals, wood and polymer clay jewelry creations.
The sanding sticks and rolls are available in 240-, 600- and 1000-grit.
Use the desired grit to sand down non-ferrous metals, wood or polymer clay. Once one side of the stick is worn down, simply peel off the top layer to reveal a new layer. Each sanding stick has four layers on each side for a total of eight layers of sandpaper.
Tips:
The sanding sticks have a convenient handle for holding. To reduce fatigue, the sticks may be secured to a working surface.
The sanding sticks also work on Shrinky Dinks® plastic after it has been baked.
Use a sanding roll with Foredom® or Jooltool™ flex shaft to get into rounded areas such as rings or tubes.
