Q.
What kind or size of thread do I use on the beading loom?
- Katie, SD
A.
The most versatile warp threads are size D Nymo® thread and FireLine® thread for jewelry-making. They provide the best strength while keeping the piece somewhat flexible.

If you are working on a small project, such as a necklace or earrings with size 11 or 15 seed beads you can use a lighter-weight thread (size B Nymo). If you are using size 11 or larger seed beads for a hatband or bracelet, you will want a heavier thread to take the wear (size D Nymo).
