The most versatile warp threads are size D Nymo® thread and FireLine® thread for jewelry-making. They provide the best strength while keeping the piece somewhat flexible.

If you are working on a small project, such as a necklace or earrings with size 11 or size 15 seed beads, you can use a lighter-weight thread (size B Nymo). For seed beads, smaller numbers mean larger beads. If you are using size 11 or larger seed beads for a hatband or bracelet, you will want a heavier thread to take the wear (size D Nymo).
