Q.
I am making a wrap bracelet, but ran out of thread and not even quite half way through. How do I add more thread, and also is it necessary to double my thread? I find it so hard to work with the super long pieces. Thanks so much! I love your website!

You can tie the new length of thread to the old length using a surgeon’s knot then add a slight dab of glue for security. Your bracelet will be weaker than if you used one continuous thread length and you will see where the thread is overlapped, so you may wish to start over using 10-12 feet of thread. No need to double stitch the entire bracelet but it's a good habit to double stitch through a bead every few inches. This will strengthen your design and keep the beads from excessive shifting over time.
