Bib-Style Necklace and Earring Set with Antiqued Silver-, Brass- and Gunmetal-Plated Pewter Cones, Swarovski Crystal, Aluminum Chain and Antiqued Brass-Finished Steel Chain

Necklace

STEP 1
Using flush-cutters, cut the following:
  • One 15-inch length of gunmetal-finished 15x11mm oval cable chain
  • One 4-inch length of gold-finished 14x10mm twisted oval curb chain
  • Four 3-1/2 inch lengths and two 5-3/4 inch lengths of matte gold-colored 6x4mm curb chain
  • Five 3-1/2-inch lengths of antiqued brass-finished 3x2mm flat cable chain
  • One 3-1/2-inch length of antiqued brass-finished 5x3mm patterned cable chain
STEP 2
Open the loop on an eyepin. Pass the center link on one 3-1/2 inch length of antiqued brass-finished 5x3mm patterned cable chain onto the loop. Close the loop. String one antiqued silver-plated 24x16mm textured flat cone, three Swarovski 4mm round rose crystals (inside the cone), one antiqued silver-plated 24x16mm textured flat cone, three Swarovski rose 4mm round, one antiqued gunmetal-plated 24x16mm textured flat cone, one Swarovski rose peach 6mm bicone onto a headpin. Using a pair of chain-nose pliers, round-nose pliers and flush-cutters, form a simple loop on the straight end of the wire to create one long textured cone bead drop.

Repeat to create:
  • Two 4-sided cone bead drops using one 3-1/2 inch lengths of antiqued brass-finished 3x2mm flat cable chain on the loop, one Swarovski rose peach 6mm bicone (inside the cone), one antiqued brass-plated 20x10.5mm 4-sided cone, one Swarovski 6mm bicone rose peach crystal, one antiqued silver-plated 20x10.5mm textured 4-sided cone and one Swarovski rose peach 6mm bicone
  • One short textured cone bead drop using one 3-1/2 inch length of antiqued brass-finished 3x2mm flat cable chain on the loop, one antiqued silver-plated 24x16mm textured flat cone, one Swarovski rose 4mm round (inside the cone), one antiqued brass-plated 24x16mm textured flat cone, one Swarovski rose 4mm round, one antiqued silver-plated 24x16mm textured flat cone and one Swarovski light rose satin 6mm bicone
  • One antiqued brass-plated crescent cone bead drop using one 3-1/2 inch length of antiqued brass-finished 3x2mm flat cable chain on the loop, three antiqued brass-plated 23.5x14.5mm crescent cones and one Swarovski rose peach 6mm bicone
  • One antiqued silver-plated crescent cone bead drop using one 3-1/2 inch length of antiqued brass-finished 3x2mm flat cable chain on the loop, three antiqued silver-plated 23.5x14.5mm crescent cones and one Swarovski light rose satin 6mm bicone
  • Seven Swarovski 8mm coral pearl bead drops using one Swarovski 8mm coral pearl and one headpin
STEP 3
String one Swarovski 8mm coral pearl, one gold-plated 3mm corrugated round, and one Swarovski rose peach 6mm bicone onto a headpin. Using round-nose pliers create a loop, leaving the excess wire. Attach the loop to the first link of the 4-inch length of gold-finished14x10mm twisted oval curb chain. Finish the end with a wrapped loop using round-nose pliers.
STEP 4
Open the last link on the 4-inch length of gold-finished 14x10mm twisted oval curb chain. Attach it to the first link on the 15-inch length of gunmetal-finished 15x11mm oval cable chain.

Open the last link on the 15-inch length of gunmetal-finished 15x11mm oval cable chain. Pass it through the loop on the lobster claw clasp. Close the link.
STEP 5
Using a pair of chain-nose pliers and bent-nose pliers, open one 8mm jumpring. Pass it though the first link on one 3-1/2 inch length of matte gold-colored 6x4mm curb chain and the 15th link on the 15-inch length of gunmetal-finished 15x11mm oval cable chain. Close the jumpring.
STEP 6
Using a pair of chain-nose pliers and bent-nose pliers gently fold a gunmetal-finished butterfly charm in the center approximately 20 degrees. Repeat on a second butterfly charm.
STEP 7
Attach the following components to the 15-inch length of gunmetal-finished 15x11mm oval cable chain using an 8mm jumpring:
  • One 3-1/2 inch length of matte gold-colored 6x4mm curb chain to the 19th, 21st, and 25th link
  • One 5-3/4 inch length of matte gold-colored 6x4mm curb chain (the 20th link of the curb chain to make two strands of chain) to the 17th and 23rd link
  • One 4-sided cone bead drop to the 16th and 26th links
  • One antiqued silver-plated crescent cone bead drop to the 18th link
  • One long textured cone bead drop to the 20th link
  • One antiqued brass-plated crescent cone bead drop to the 22nd link
  • One short textured cone bead drop to the 24th link
  • One bent butterfly charm to the 21st link and the first link on the 3-1/2 inch length of matte gold-colored 6x4mm curb chain on the 19th link on the 15-inch length of gunmetal-finished 15x11mm oval cable chain
  • One flat butterfly charm on the 14th and 25th links and the 13th link on the 5-3/4 inch length of matte gold-colored 6x4mm curb chain attached to the 17th link of the 15-inch length of gunmetal-finished 15x11mm oval cable chain, and the 24th link on the 5-3/4 inch length of matte gold-colored 6x4mm curb chain attached to the 23rd link of the 15-inch length of gunmetal-finished 15x11mm oval cable chain
  • One Swarovski 8mm coral pearl bead drop to the bottom of each of the butterfly charm attached to the matte gold-colored 6x4mm curb chains from the previous step
  • One Swarovski 8mm coral pearl bead drop to the 15th, 17th, 19th, 22nd, and 25th links

Earrings

STEP 1
Using flush-cutters, cut twenty-two 2-1/2 inch lengths of antiqued brass-finished 3x2mm flat cable chain.
STEP 2
Open the loop on an eyepin. Pass the first link on eleven 2-1/2 inch length of antiqued brass-finished 3x2mm flat cable chain onto the loop. Close the loop. String one gunmetal-plated 23.5x14.5mm crescent cone and one Swarovski rose 4mm round onto a headpin. Using a pair of chain-nose pliers, round-nose pliers and flush-cutters, form a wrapped loop on the straight end of the wire to create one gunmetal-plated cone bead drop. Repeat to create a silver-plated crescent cone bead drop.
STEP 3
Using a pair of chain-nose pliers and bent-nose pliers gently fold a butterfly charm in the center approximately 20 degrees. Bend 1/4 of the top of each upper wing back toward the center approximately 45 degrees. Bend 1/4 of the bottom of each lower wing away from the center approximately 45 degrees. Repeat on a second butterfly charm.
STEP 4
Using a pair of chain-nose pliers and bent-nose pliers, open the loop on an earwire. Pass it though the loop on one long textured cone bead drop and the loop on a butterfly charm onto the loop. Close the loop on the earwire.

Repeat to create the second earring with the silver-plated crescent cone bead drop.
