Convertible Single-Strand Necklace, Bracelet and Earring Set with Copper Embellishments and Swarovski Crystal

Dapping Copper Discs

STEP 1
Place one copper 32mm round blank into a hole on the dapping block that is larger than the copper disc. Choose a punch that is smaller than the hole on the dapping block. Using the nylon hammer, hammer the punch in the center of the copper blank. Move the angle of the hammer around the center of the copper blank to continue to form the concave disc. Move the copper disc to a smaller hole on the dapping block. Choose a smaller punch, and continue to form the concave disc until it is a copper 28mm concave disc.

Repeat to create two copper 18mm concave discs from copper 20mm round blanks, and two copper 13.5mm concave discs from copper 15mm round blanks.
STEP 2
Using the EUROTOOL® hole punch pliers, punch one 1.25mm hole 1/8 inch from the edge on the copper 28mm concave disc. Repeat to punch one hole 1/8 inch from the edge of two copper 18mm concave discs and two copper 13.5mm concave discs.

Necklace

STEP 3
Using flush-cutters cut one 7-inch length and one 17-inch length of sterling silver 10mm double round and 6x4mm oval link chain.
STEP 4
String one Swarovski blackberry 8mm round pearl onto a headpin. Using a pair of chain-nose pliers, round-nose pliers and flush-cutters, form a simple loop on the straight end of the wire creating a Swarovski blackberry 8mm round pearl bead drop.

Repeat to create:
  • Two Swarovski blackberry 6mm round pearl bead drops using one Swarovski blackberry 6mm round pearl and one headpin
  • Eight Swarovski blackberry 4mm round pearl bead drops using one Swarovski blackberry 4mm round pearl and one headpin
STEP 5
Using a pair of chain-nose pliers and flat-nose pliers, open a 4mm jumpring. Pass it through the last ring on the bar portion of the toggle clasp and the first link on the 17-inch length of chain. Close the jumpring.

Open a 4mm jumpring. Pass it through the last link on the 17-inch length of chain and the ring on the end of the toggle clasp extender chain.
STEP 6
Repeat Step 5 to attach a toggle clasp to the 7-inch length of chain creating a convertible bracelet/necklace.
STEP 7
Attach the following components to the 7-inch length of chain:
  • One Swarovski blackberry 4mm round pearl bead drop to the 2nd, 4th, 6th, 8th, 10th and 12th link on the chain using one 4mm jumpring
  • One Swarovski blackberry 4mm round pearl bead drop inside one copper 13.5mm concave disc to the 3rd and 11th link on the chain using one 6mm jumpring
  • One Swarovski blackberry 6mm round pearl bead drop inside one copper 18mm concave disc to the 5th and 9th link on the chain using one 6mm jumpring
  • One Swarovski blackberry 8mm round pearl bead drop inside one copper 28mm concave disc to the 7th link on the chain using one 6mm jumpring
STEP 8
Secure the necklace to the bracelet portion by attaching the bar clasps to the opposite ring portions of toggle clasp on the necklace.

Earrings

STEP 1
Place one copper 20mm round blank into a hole on the dapping block that is larger than the copper disc. Choose a punch that is smaller than the hole on the dapping block. Using the nylon hammer, hammer the punch in the center of the copper blank. Move the angle of the hammer around the center of the copper blank to continue to form the concave disc. Move the copper disc to a smaller hole on the dapping block. Choose a smaller punch, and continue to form the concave disc until it is a copper 18mm concave disc.

Repeat to create two copper 18mm concave discs from copper 20mm round blanks.
STEP 2
Using the EUROPUNCH hole punch pliers, punch one 1.25mm hole 1/8 inch from the edge on the copper 18mm concave disc. Repeat to punch one hole 1/8 inch from the edge of two copper 18mm concave discs.
STEP 3
String one Swarovski blackberry 8mm round pearl onto a headpin. Using a pair of chain-nose pliers, round-nose pliers and flush-cutters, form a simple loop on the straight end of the wire creating a Swarovski blackberry 6mm round pearl bead drop.
STEP 4
Using a pair of chain-nose pliers and flat-nose pliers, open a 6mm jumpring. Pass it through the punched hole on one copper 18mm concave disc and one Swarovski blackberry 6mm round pearl bead drop. Close the jumpring.

Open a 4mm jumpring. Pass it through the loop on the earwire and the 6mm jumpring attached to the copper disc. Close the jumpring.

Repeat to create the second earring.
