Radiant, rare and A- grade quality—these orange kyanite puffed teardrop beads are unlike anything you’ve seen before. Known for their striking striations and luminous translucence, kyanite is most often found in blue—but this fiery orange variety, colored by manganese, is truly exceptional.
Each natural, untreated A-grade bead is hand-cut and polished to a smooth, silky finish, then graduated along the strand from smaller stones at each end to larger in the center. This creates a balanced look that feels both elegant and organic, whether used in necklaces or earrings.
Tiny drill holes (0.4–0.8mm) make them ideal for fine-gauge wire and delicate stringing, while their transparent-to-translucent finish reveals flashes of silver schiller and iron inclusions that catch the light. Graduated 8-inch strands are temporarily strung with spacers and silk tassels to prevent chipping and ensure safe handling.
Kyanite is part of the silicate mineral family, specifically aluminum silicate formed in metamorphic rock. The anisotropic structure means the stone exhibits different hardness and color depending on the crystal direction.
