Product Information
Sizes are Approximate
Hole Size: 0.5-1.5mm
Material: Gemstone, Agate
Material Detail: Turritella Agate
Treatment: Stabilized

Turitella agate is a variety of chalcedony, a microcrystalline quartz. This distinctive stone contains actual fossilized (agatized) sea life; the visible spiral shells of the Elimia tenera make up the stone's swirling brown and white patterns. Turritella agate is an eye-catching yet refined neutral that combines natural beauty with a fascinating composition offering a glimpse back millions of years.

Stabilized, the natural fossil makeup of turritella agate may at times give these beads a slightly bumpy surface. These specimens originate from fossil deposits in North America. Sizes, shapes and colors may vary with handcrafted items.
