Sturdy hand vise is ideal for securely gripping and holding wire, jumprings and other jewelry-making components. Vise is ideal to use as draw tongs when pulling wire through a draw plate, when cutting wire and to provide an "extra hand" in the studio. Easy to use, the Indian beech tree wood handle turns to open and close the steel jaws. Vise opens to a maximum of 3/8 inches. Jaws have a smooth inner surface that is grooved to stabilize the material being held; when holding flat items that span the grooves, consider placing a piece of leather between the vise jaws and the item to protect surfaces.
