Product Information
Sizes are Approximate
Material: Agate, Gemstone
Material Detail: Turritella Agate
Treatment: Stabilized

Turitella agate is a variety of chalcedony, a microcrystalline quartz. This distinctive stone contains actual fossilized (agatized) sea life; the visible spiral shells of the Elimia tenera make up the stone's swirling brown and white patterns. Turritella agate is an eye-catching yet refined neutral that combines natural beauty with a fascinating composition offering a glimpse back millions of years.

Stabilized, machine-cut and polished for consistency, the natural fossil makeup of turritella agate may at times give these components a slightly bumpy surface. These specimens originate from fossil deposits in North America.
