Cast double-sided fish are medium-weight making them ideal for focal pieces and heavier earring designs. Beads are temporarily strung with clear glass spacers to protect against chipping. These fish are intended to be used with some form of spacer so that there is movement. "Pewter"—also known as "zamak"—is a zinc-based alloy.
