Crimps are a jewelry design staple used with all beading wire and some beading cords to secure the start and finish of the strand. Thread through the crimp, around the clasp loop, back through the crimp and draw the beading wire or cord taut. Finished brass crimps need only light manual compression to flatten; do not use crimping pliers. For a more secure hold, add a dab of glue.
