Swarovski's® AB effect, named for aurora borealis (the northern lights), is a term for crystal stones that have a highly iridescent surface. Created in 1955 in collaboration with Christian Dior, the effect is achieved by vapor blasting the facets of the lower part of the crystals with an invisible, micro-thin metal sheet.

These buttons will dress up any garment, as well as make interesting beading components. Foil back creates deep color intensity.

Crystal rivolis can be incorporated into an array of designs including wirework, glued into specifically calibrated SS47 faceted rivoli settings or set in polymer clay, metal clay, Apoxie® Sculpt, resin or Vitrium® Clay.
