Titanium
"Butterfly clutch" earnuts are held on by friction and used with most ear post styles.
Titanium is a durable, nickel-free material that is very resistant to bending, cracking and scratches. Found in nature only as an oxide, titanium is extracted and alloyed with iron, aluminum, vanadium and molybdenum, making it hypoallergenic and ideal for sensitive skin. Its inert nature means it will not react to water or your body chemistry, so you never have to worry about it rusting, tarnishing or turning your skin black or green. Titanium is harder than other metals, but it is not abrasive and therefore will not damage or wear down softer metals.
