The AB effect, named for the aurora borealis (northern lights), is a term for crystal stones that have a highly iridescent surface. Created by in 1955 in collaboration with Christian Dior, the effect is achieved by vapor blasting the facets of the lower part of the crystals with an invisible, micro-thin metal sheet.

Inspired by the classic AB effect, the shimmer effect radiates three shades of color for more dazzling light refraction and movement. This soft, glamorous effect speaks to our increasing desire for heightened sensory experiences by merging futuristic shimmer with bold crystal colors in boundary-breaking hues.

Hotfix flat backs bond to most surfaces including wool, cotton, rayon, LYCRA®, silk, acrylic and denim. A layer of hot-melt adhesive creates a bond to textile materials when activated with a hot-fix applicator or iron-on application. The flexible hotfix glue allows outstanding low application temperatures (from 120°C / 250°F) paired with excellent adhesion and wash resistance. Color of adhesive back may vary. The adhesive is clear.
