- Chain, sterling silver, 2.7mm diamond-cut curb
- Clasp, lobster claw, sterling silver, 13x6mm with jump ring
- Drop crystal, Crystal Passions® 8mm pendant mini disk 6428
- Head pin, sterling silver, 2 inches with 1.5mm ball, 24 gauge
- Jump ring, silver-plated brass, 5.5mm round, 4mm inside diameter, 20 gauge
- Wire, sterling silver, dead-soft, round, 24 gauge
Instructions
Step 1
Using a flush cutter, cut three 12-inch lengths of sterling silver Figaro chain (36 inches total).
Step 2
Take one of the 12-inch chains. About an inch from the end, thread a 2-inch sterling silver head pin through one of the smaller links in the chain. Add a 6mm round Crystal Passions® denim (blue) bead onto the head pin.
Thread another chain onto the head pin at approximately the same point (1 inch in). Make sure you put the head pin in one of the smaller links in the chain. Thread two 4mm round Crystal Passions crystal (clear) beads onto the head pin.
Thread the third chain onto the head pin at the same place in the chain. Add two 4mm round Crystal Passions Montana (dark blue) beads onto the head pin.
With round-nose pliers, make a simple loop to secure the head pin. For directions on making a simple loop, watch the video or read the instructions here.
Count two of the larger links past the first head pin. Put another head pin through the smaller links in the three chains, adding beads as you did for the first head pin.
Repeat until there are 13 sets of beads.
Step 3
Cut 6 inches of 24-gauge sterling silver wire—one 3-inch segment for each side of the necklace. Feed the wire through the last link of each of the three chains. With round-nose pliers, make a wrapped loop, securing the three chains in the loop. Make another simple loop in the wire.
Make another loop and insert a 2-inch segment of sterling silver curb chain for attaching the clasp. Secure the loop. Repeat for the other side of the necklace.
Attach the clasp to one end of chain and 12 jump rings, linked as a chain, to the other side.
Step 4
Add jump rings to the Crystal Passions 8mm pendant mini disk drops and attach to the bottom loops on the necklace.
