- Beading wire, Accu-Flex®, nylon and stainless steel, clear, 49 strand, 0.024-inch diameter
- Sterling silver, cut tube crimp, 2mm / 1.3-1.4mm inside diameter
- Jump ring, antique silver-plated brass, 6mm round, 4.2mm inside diameter, 18 gauge
- Black and white sardonyx, round bead 8mm
- Crimp cover, antique silver-plated brass, 4mm
- Jump ring, antique silver-plated brass, 8mm round, 5.4mm inside diameter, 16 gauge
- Bead, antique silver-plated steel, 8mm round
- Clasp, self-closing hook, stainless steel, 19x10mm
Instructions
Necklace Instructions
Step 1
Cut a 20-inch strand of Accu-Flex® 49-strand 0.024-inch diameter professional-quality beading wire.
Step 2
String onto the beading wire: one 2mm sterling silver cut tube crimp and one Accu-Guard™ 5mm stainless steel tube wire protector. Pass the beading wire back through the crimp. Pull the beading wire so the crimp rests snug against the Accu-Guard leaving approximately 1/4 inch of beading wire on the end. Crimp then trim the excess from the short end of the beading wire. Finish with a 4mm antique silver-plated brass crimp cover.
Step 3
String on beads in your desired pattern.
Step 4
Crimp the end of the necklace as you did in Step 2, tucking a 1/4 inch tail into the endmost beads.
Step 5
Add a 6mm 18-gauge antique silver-plated round jump ring to the Accu-Guard at one end of the necklace.
Using another 6mm 18-gauge antique silver-plated round jump ring, add a 19x10mm stainless steel self-closing hook clasp to the opposite end of the necklace.
