- Jump ring, sterling silver, 3.5mm round, 2.2mm inside diameter, 22 gauge
- Firing block, compressed vermiculite, white, 6 x 4 x 1 inches
- Burnisher, agate / wood (natural) / stainless steel, 9 inches with 2-inch tip
- Fine steel wire brush, 8-1/4x5/8 inches
- Block, rubber, black, 4 x 4 x 1 inches
- Clay cutter, galvanized steel, 20mm / 30mm / 40mm square
- Sanding pad, micro-mesh, 2-inch square, 1500-12000 grit
- Slats, acrylic, assorted colors, 6 inches
- Clay carving, stainless steel and plastic, 6-1/2 inches with grooved grip
- Blades, steel and rubber, black, 140 x 18.5 x 0.5mm / 140 x 18 x 0.15mm smooth / 120 x 18 x 1.5mm serrated with hand guard
- Link, sterling silver, 17x17mm diamond with holes
- Precious metal clay, low fire formula
- Metal clay conditioner and release, slikbaby
- Jump ring, sterling silver, 7x5mm oval, 5.5x3.7mm inside diameter, 20 gauge
- Drop, sterling silver, 25x9mm hammered double rings
- Ear wire, sterling silver, 17.5mm kidney with (2) closed double loops, 19 gauge
Instructions
Condition the clay by folding it multiple times while still inside the plastic.
Apply metal clay conditioner to your hands and the clay. Roll the clay on a rubber block between two slats set at the desired thickness.
Place a texture plate onto the clay while still in the slats and roll once. Remove the plate and use clay cutters to cut four shapes of the same size. Drill a hole in one corner of each piece. Air dry for at least one hour at room temperature.
Sand the shapes smooth.
Fire the shapes according to instructions on the metal clay pouch.
Let cool.
Use a wire brush to clean the shapes. Sand once more if needed. Burnish with an agate burnisher.
Open an oval jump ring. Slide on one finished shape, one pre-made link with holes and one double ring drop. Close the jump ring.
Attach the other end of the double ring drop to an oval jump ring. Use a round jump ring to attach the drop to one loop on an ear wire.
Attach a finished shape to an oval jump ring. Use a round jump ring to attach the shape to the other loop on the ear wire.
Repeat to create a second earring.
