- Seed bead, Dyna-Mites™, glass, transparent light blue, #8 round
- Seed bead, Preciosa Ornela Czech glass, #11 rocaille, transparent metallic bronze-lined clear, (68106)
- End bar, gold-finished, 26x5mm round tube / fold-in ends / 4mm inside diameter, brass
- Head pin, 1.5 inch, 21 gauge electro-coated pink
- Springring, 14mm, gold-finished brass clasp 1-strand
- Thread, Berkley® FireLine®, gel-spun polyethylene, smoke, 0.15mm diameter 4-fiber braid, 6-pound test
- Needle, Tulip, nickel- and gold-plated steel, #11 with 0.52mm eye width, 2 inches
Instructions
Cut one 65-inch length of Berkley® FireLine® thread. String one size 11/0 silver-lined clear Czech glass rocaille seed bead and pass through again to create a stop bead, leaving a 6-inch tail.
String eight size 8/0 transparent light blue Dyna-Mites™ seed beads. Slide the beads down close to the stop bead, leaving a small gap.
String one additional size 8/0 transparent light blue seed bead. Pass back through the eighth bead from the opposite direction, skipping the new bead just added. Pull snug so the new bead sits beside the eighth bead, forming the beginning of square stitch.
Continue adding one seed bead at a time. For each stitch, string one seed bead, skip the last bead exited and pass back through the next bead in the previous row in the opposite direction. Pull the thread snug after each stitch so the beads align side-by-side in neat rows.
Repeat across until the strip measures approximately 6-1/2 inches long or the desired bracelet length, maintaining the bracelet width at eight seed beads wide. Keep thread tension firm and consistent throughout the beadwork.
Weave the working thread through several beads at the end of the strip to secure but do not trim yet.
Add the picot edging using size 11/0 silver-lined clear Czech glass rocaille seed beads. Exit from one edge bead of the bracelet. String three size 11/0 silver-lined clear seed beads and pass through the next edge bead along the bracelet edge. Repeat along both long sides of the bracelet to create a continuous picot border.
Remove the stop bead. Weave both thread ends through several rows of beads to secure, then trim excess thread.
Open one 5.5mm gold-finished soldered jump ring. Pass it through one loop on the 14mm gold-finished end bar and slide on the end row beads on one end of the bracelet.
Repeat Step 9 on the opposite end of the bracelet using a second jump ring and the remaining half of the clasp.
Create three dangles. For each dangle, string one transparent light blue seed bead onto one gold-finished brass head pin. Form a simple loop above the bead and trim excess wire.
Attach the three beaded dangles to the end bar using jump rings as shown. Ensure all jump rings are securely closed.
