- Bead, carnelian (dyed / heated), 6mm rose-cut round, B grade, Mohs hardness 6-1/2 to 7
- Bead, citrine (dyed / heated), 6x2mm-7x2mm hand-cut heishi, C grade, Mohs hardness 7
- Bead, flower amethyst (natural), 6mm round, C grade, Mohs hardness 7
- Bead, garnet (dyed), 5x2mm-6x3mm hand-cut faceted rondelle, B grade, Mohs hardness 7 to 7-1/2
- Bead, green aventurine (natural), 6mm round, B grade, Mohs hardness 7
- Bead, iolite (dyed), 8x5mm hand-cut flat oval, C grade, Mohs hardness 7 to 7-1/2
- Bead, sky blue topaz (irradiated), 7x4mm hand-cut faceted rondelle, B grade, Mohs hardness 8
- Chain, gold-finished brass, 2mm figure 8
- Ear wire, gold-plated brass, 18mm perfect balance angular fishhook with 3.5mm stardust ball and open loop, 22 gauge
- Head pin, gold-plated brass, 2 inches with 1.5mm ball, 23 gauge
- Jump ring, gold-plated brass, 4mm round, 2.4mm inside diameter, 20 gauge
Instructions
Step 1
Cut the following lengths of gold-filled brass chain:
- Two 1-3/4 inch lengths
- Two 2-inch lengths
- Two 2-1/4 inch lengths
- Two 2-1/2 inch lengths
- Two 2-3/4 inch lengths
- Two 3-1/4 inch lengths
- Two 3-1/2 inch lengths
Step 2
String one 6mm amethyst bead onto one ball pin then form a wrapped loop to create a drop.
Repeat using the remaining beads to create a total of seven drops.
Step 3
Use one 4mm jump ring to attach one drop to one 1-3/4 inch length of chain.
Repeat using the remaining drops.
Step 4
String one 4mm jump ring onto the end link of each length of chain and the loop on the ear wire to complete the earring.
Step 5
Repeat Steps 2 - 4 to create the second earring.
