Convertible Necklace and Two Pair Earring Set with Swarovski Crystal and Gold-Plated Brass Beads

Necklace

STEP 1
Cut the following lengths:
  • Accu-Flex professional-quality beading wire:
    • One 24-inch length
    • One 26-inch length
    • One 28-inch length
  • Six 3-1/4 inch lengths of 3mm and 4mm textured flat oval chain
STEP 2
String onto one 1-inch headpin: one 2.5mm smooth round, one Siam 10x6mm mini drop and one crystal AB 3mm bicone then form a simple loop. Repeat to create a total of five Siam mini drops.

First Strand

STEP 3
String onto the 24-inch length of beading wire: one crimp and one Accu-Guard™ wire protector. Pass the beading wire back through the crimp. Pull the beading wire so the crimp rests snug against the Accu-Guard leaving approximately 1/4 inch of beading wire on the end.

Crimp, then trim the excess from the short end of the beading wire. Finish with a 3mm crimp cover.
STEP 4
String the following onto the beading wire:
  • One 2.5mm smooth round
  • One Siam 3mm round
  • One 2.5mm smooth round
  • One crystal AB 8x8mm mini rhombus
  • One 2.5mm smooth round
  • One Siam 3mm round
  • One 2.5mm smooth round
  • One crystal AB 3mm bicone
  • One 2.5mm smooth round
  • One Siam 3mm round
  • One 2.5mm smooth round
  • One crystal AB 8x8mm mini rhombus
  • Repeat this sequence to string a total of two sets
    • One 2.5mm smooth round
    • One Siam 3mm round
    • One 2.5mm smooth round
    • One 38x2mm curved tube
  • One 2.5mm smooth round
  • One crystal AB 3mm bicone
  • One Siam mini drop
  • One crystal AB 3mm bicone
  • One 2.5mm smooth round
STEP 5
Continue to string one 38x2mm curved tube then repeat the stringing sequence in Step 4 in the opposite direction to string the second half of the necklace.

Repeat Step 3 to secure the strand.

Second Strand

STEP 6
Repeat Step 3 using the 26-inch length of beading wire to begin the second strand.

String the following onto the beading wire:
  • One 2.5mm smooth round
  • One crystal AB 3mm bicone
  • One 2.5mm smooth round
  • One crystal AB 8x8mm mini rhombus
  • One 2.5mm smooth round
  • One crystal AB 3mm bicone
  • One 2.5mm smooth round
  • One moss green 6x6mm mini rhombus
  • One 2.5mm smooth round
  • One crystal AB 3mm bicone
  • One 2.5mm smooth round
  • One moss green 8x8mm mini rhombus
  • One 2.5mm smooth round
  • One crystal AB 3mm bicone
  • One 2.5mm smooth round
  • One moss green 6x6mm mini rhombus
Repeat this sequence to string a total of seven sets.
STEP 7
  • One 2.5mm smooth round
  • One crystal AB 3mm bicone
  • One 2.5mm smooth round
  • One crystal AB 8x8mm mini rhombus
  • One 2.5mm smooth round
  • One crystal AB 8x8mm mini rhombus
  • One 2.5mm smooth round
Repeat Step 3 to secure the strand.

Third Strand

STEP 8
Repeat Step 3 using the 28-inch length of beading wire to begin the third strand.

String the following onto the beading wire:
  • One 2.5mm smooth round
  • One Siam 3mm round
  • One 2.5mm smooth round
  • Repeat this sequence to string two sets:
    • One crystal AB 8x8mm mini rhombus
    • One 2.5mm smooth round
    • One Siam 3mm round
    • One 2.5mm smooth round
    • One crystal AB 3mm bicone
    • One 2.5mm smooth round
    • One Siam 3mm round
    • One 2.5mm smooth round
  • One crystal AB 8x8mm mini rhombus
  • Repeat this sequence to string two sets:
    • One 2.5mm smooth round
    • One Siam 3mm round
    • One 2.5mm smooth round
    • One 38x2mm curved tube
  • One 2.5mm smooth round
  • One crystal AB 3mm bicone
  • One Siam mini drop
  • One crystal AB 3mm bicone
  • One 2.5mm smooth round
  • One 38x2mm curved tube
STEP 9
Continue to string the following:
  • One 2.5mm smooth round
  • One crystal AB 3mm bicone
  • One Siam mini drop
  • One crystal AB 3mm bicone
  • One 2.5mm smooth round
Repeat the sequence in Step 8 in the opposite direction to string the second half of the strand.

Repeat Step 3 to secure the strand.

Necklace Assembly

STEP 10
Pass one 4mm jumpring through the Accu-Guard on one end of the first strand and the first link on one 3-1/4 inch length of chain then close. Repeat to attach a length of chain to the opposite end of the strand.

Repeat to attach a length of chain to each end of the second and third strands.
STEP 11
Use one 4mm jumpring to attach one lobster claw clasp to the last link on one length of chain on each strand.
STEP 12
Use one 4mm jumpring to attach one lobster claw clasp to each loop on one portion of one 3-strand slide lock clasp.

Tip: Attach the three strands to the slide lock clasp or wear them individually for a versatile look.

Earring Option 1

STEP 1
String crystal AB 8x8mm mini rhombus onto one 1-inch eyepin them form simple loop. Repeat to create a second mini rhombus link.
STEP 2
String the following onto one 1-inch headpin:
  • One 2.5mm smooth round
  • One Siam 10x6mm mini drop
  • One crystal AB 3mm bicone
  • One Siam 3mm round
  • One crystal AB 3mm bicone
Form a simple loop on the straight end of the headpin.

Repeat to create a total of two Siam mini drop drops.
STEP 3
Pass one 4mm jumpring through one Siam mini drop and the first loop on the mini rhombus link the close. Attach the loop on the opposite end of the mini rhombus link to the leverback earwire.

Repeat to create a second earring.

Earring Option 2

STEP 1
Cut two 3/4 inch lengths of 3mm and 4mm textured flat oval chain.
STEP 2
String the following onto one 1-inch headpin:
  • One 2.5mm smooth round
  • One dark moss green 8x8mm mini rhombus
  • One 2.5mm smooth round
  • One dark moss green 6x6mm mini rhombus
  • One 2.5mm smooth round
Form a simple loop creating a rhombus drop.

Repeat to create a second rhombus drop.
STEP 3
Use one 4mm jumpring to attach the loop on one rhombus drop to the first link on one length of chain. Repeat to attach the last link on the length of chain to one 8mm half ball earstud.

Repeat to create a second earring.
