Strong, flexible, and kink resistant, Accu-Flex® is intended to be part of the design. This beading wire is flexible, resists kinking and is best when crimped. Accu-Flex wire is free of heavy metals and can be recycled. The hard plastic spool is made of polystyrene that can be also recycled.

In a cable-style bead wire such as Accu-Flex, ultra-thin wires are twisted together like suspension bridge cables and given a protective nylon coating. Each wire is in a bundle of seven wire strands, and the total number of wire strands changes how the beading cable behaves. A 7-strand beading wire has good flexibility, good kink resistance, good abrasion resistance, good strength and a firm drape. A 7-strand beading wire is ideal for highly structured strung designs, where the stringing material needs to stand out or hold a specific line or curve. Cable-style beading wire is not recommended for cultured pearls.

DIAMETER Wire diameter may vary by 0.35-0.36mm. Wire of this diamether has a XX-pound test; pound test indicates the amount of static weight or pulling force (in pounds) that a straight length of this beading wire can hold before it breaks. Pound tests are conducted in a lab.
