Earrings with Miyuki and Preciosa Ornela Seed Beads and Sterling Silver

Design Idea S B 2 Z – Earrings each have a sterling silver marquise ear wire with a large silver jump ring hanging from it. Three strands of seed beads hang from the jump ring, pink at the top, sage green in the middle, and olive green at the bottom.

Ear wire, sterling silver, 32mm diamond-cut marquise / open loop, 21 gauge
Head pin, sterling silver, 2 inch, 21 gauge
Jump ring, sterling silver, 16mm textured soldered round, 12.6mm inside diameter, 15 gauge
Jump ring, sterling silver, 5mm round, 3.4mm inside diameter, 20 gauge
Seed bead, Miyuki, glass, #11 rocaille, Duracoat® opaque outside dyed cactus (RR-4474)
Seed bead, Miyuki, glass, #11 rocaille, opaque metallic iris brown (RR-458)
Seed bead, Miyuki, glass, #11 rocaille, opaque silver-plated, (RR-961)
Seed bead, Preciosa Ornela Czech glass, #11 rocaille, opaque dark shell luster chalkwhite, (46112)

Instructions

Step 1

Make a fringe drop by stringing (29) seed beads in your choice of pattern of #11 rocaille beads in dyed cactus, iris brown, chalk-white, and silver-plated onto a 2-inch, 21-gauge sterling silver head pin.

Step 2

Using round-nose pliers, make a wrapped loop to complete the drop.

Repeat to make five more fringe drops.

Step 3

Using 5mm, 20-gauge sterling silver jump rings, attach three of the fringe drops to a 16mm, 15-gauge sterling silver textured soldered round jump ring.

Repeat for other earring.

Step 4

Attach the 16mm, 15-gauge sterling silver textured soldered round jump ring to a 32mm, 21-gauge sterling silver marquise ear wire.

Repeat for the other earring.
