- Bead, crystal gold plate, Preciosa Czech crystal 4.5x2.5mm rondelle
- Bead cap, gold-plated brass, 8x4mm fancy round, fits 8-10mm bead
- Bead cap, gold-plated brass, 9x6mm basket, fits 9-11mm bead
- Bead, bone (bleached), 9x6mm-11x8mm skull
- Bead, Czech fire-polished glass, two-tone clear AB and metallic amber gold, 4mm faceted round
- Bead, Taiwanese cheesewood (dyed / waxed), white, 7-8mm round
- Bead, wood (bleached / waxed), white, 7x2mm-8x4.5mm hand-cut rondelle
- Ear wire fishhook, gold-plated, 16mm / hidden open loop, 20 gauge brass
- Eye pin, gold-plated, 3.5 inch, 21 gauge brass
- Jump ring, gold-plated, 4mm round, 20 gauge / 2.4mm inside diameter / brass
- Seed bead, Miyuki, glass, #6 rocaille, opaque galvanized yellow gold, (RR-1053)
- Seed bead, TOHO BEADS®, glass, #8 round, opaque ceylon light ivory (TR-08-147)
- Wire, ParaWire™, gold-finished and silver-plated copper, round, 20 gauge
- Wire, ParaWire™, gold-finished and silver-plated copper, round, 24 gauge
Instructions
Onto a 3-1/2 inch 21-gauge gold-plated eye pin, string the following in this order:
- One 8x4mm fancy round bead cap
- One bleached bone skull bead
- One 9x6mm basket bead cap
- One 7–8mm white cheesewood round bead
- One 7x2mm-8x4.5mm white wood rondelle bead
- One TOHO BEADS® #8 opaque Ceylon light ivory seed bead
- One 7x2mm-8x4.5mm white wood rondelle bead
- One TOHO BEADS® #8 opaque Ceylon light ivory seed bead
- One 7x2mm-8x4.5mm white wood rondelle bead
Using round-nose pliers, form a wrapped loop at the top of the eye pin to secure the stack of beads and create the head loop of the skeleton body.
Cut four inches of 24-gauge ParaWire™. Thread it through the center of the 9x6mm basket bead cap and center the wire evenly to form the arms.
On each wire arm, string:
- One 4mm Czech fire-polished glass two-tone clear AB and metallic amber gold bead
- One 4.5x2.5mm Preciosa Czech crystal gold-plated rondelle
- One 4mm Czech fire-polished glass two-tone clear AB and metallic amber gold bead
- Four TOHO BEADS® #8 opaque Ceylon light ivory seed beads
Using round-nose pliers, create a wrapped loop at the end of each arm to secure the beads in place.
Cut six inches of 20-gauge ParaWire™. Fold the wire in half and thread it through the bottom loop of the skeleton body; center the wire evenly to form the legs.
Onto each leg wire, string:
- One 4mm Czech fire-polished glass two-tone clear AB and metallic amber gold bead
- Five TOHO BEADS #8 opaque Ceylon light ivory seed beads
Using round-nose pliers, form a wrapped loop at the end of each leg and gently turn the loop upward to create the feet.
Open a 4mm 20-gauge gold-plated jump ring and attach the top eye pin loop of the skeleton body to a 16mm gold-plated fishhook ear wire. Close the loop securely.
Repeat Steps 1 through 8 to create the second earring.
