Instructions
Cut 1/16 block of each of the following:
Create a wood look by twisting the three clays into a snake. Then fold them over onto each other. Use a roller to roll out the clay and get a marbled look.
Draw a paint palette for a template. Cut out three palettes from the marbled polymer clay. Then make a small hole in the palette—mimicking a thumb hole in an artist’s palette—for the jump rings to attach later.
Bake the three palettes according to the directions on the polymer clay packages.
Arrange six Crystal Passions® rose round flat backs in the following order:
Using Devcon 5 Minute® epoxy, glue the flat backs to one of the palettes.
Repeat for the other two palettes.
Cut a 12-inch length of pearl Accu-Flex® professional-quality beading wire. Add a bead stopper to one end of the beading wire.
String your chosen pattern of beads onto the beading wire.
String onto the beading wire: one 2x1mm sterling silver cut tube crimp and one Accu-Guard™ 4mm silver-plated tube wire protector. Pass the beading wire back through the crimp. Pull the beading wire so the crimp rests snug against the Accu-Guard, leaving approximately 1/4 inch of beading wire on the end. Crimp then trim the excess from the short end of the beading wire. Finish with a 4mm silver-plated round crimp cover.
Add an 8mm 18-gauge silver-plated twisted round jump ring to one of the palettes and attach it to the center of the beading wire.
Add an 8mm 18-gauge silver-plated twisted round jump ring to each end of the beading wire. Then finish by adding a 12x5mm silver-plated lobster claw clasp.
Insert an 8mm 18-gauge silver-plated twisted round jump ring into the hole in one of the palettes.
Using a 5.5mm 18-gauge silver-plated round jump ring, attach the palette to a 15mm silver-finished hoop component.
Repeat Steps 1 and 2 for the second earring.
