- Bail, ice-pick, gold-plated brass, 6x2.5mm with 3.5mm grip length.
- Bead crystal, Preciosa Czech crystal 4mm round.
- Bead smoked topaz, Preciosa Czech crystal 4mm round.
- Bead topaz, Preciosa Czech crystal 4mm round
- Bead, gold-plated brass, 8x3mm oval.
- Beading wire, Accu-Flex®, nylon and stainless steel, copper, 49 strand, 0.019-inch diameter.
- Clasp, toggle, gold-finished "pewter" (zinc-based alloy), 10mm round.
- Crimp cover, gold-plated brass, 4mm round.
- Crimp, 12Kt gold-filled, 2mm smooth tube, 1.1mm inside diameter.
- Crimp, gold-finished brass, 2.5mm round, 1.5mm inside diameter.
- Drop crystal lava, Preciosa Czech crystal 10mm pendant heart
- Drop crystal lava, Preciosa Czech crystal 14mm pendant heart
- Ear wire fishhook gold-plated, 17mm / 2mm ball / open loop, 19 gauge brass
- Jump ring, gold-plated brass, 4mm round, 2.4mm inside diameter, 20 gauge.
- Wire protector, Accu-Guard™, gold-plated brass, 4mm tube.
- Wire protector, Accu-Guard™, gold-plated brass, 5mm tube.
Instructions
Necklace Instructions
Step 1
Cut a 20-inch length of Accu-Flex® 49-strand 0.019-inch diameter copper professional-quality beading wire.
Step 2
Place a bead stopper on one end of the beading wire.
Step 3
String the following onto the beading wire:
- Ten 4mm Preciosa Czech crystal smoked topaz round beads
- One 8x3mm gold-plated oval bead
- One 4mm Preciosa Czech crystal clear round bead
- One 4mm Preciosa Czech crystal topaz round beads
- One 4mm Preciosa Czech crystal clear round bead
- One 8x3mm gold-plated oval bead
Repeat this pattern two more times.
Step 4
Reverse the pattern, mirroring the order of beads you already strung.
Step 5
String onto the beading wire: one 2mm 12Kt gold-filled smooth tube crimp and one Accu-Guard™ gold-plated 4mm tube wire protector. Pass the beading wire back through the crimp. Pull the beading wire so the crimp rests snug against the Accu-Guard, leaving approximately 1/4 inch of beading wire on the end. Crimp then trim the excess from the short end of the beading wire. Finish with a 4mm gold-plated crimp cover.
Step 6
Using 4mm 20-gauge gold-plated round jump rings, attach the halves of a 10mm gold-finished round toggle clasp to either end of the necklace.
Step 7
Find the center of the necklace, which should be between two 8x3mm gold-plated oval beads. Attach a Preciosa Czech crystal 14mm crystal lava pendant heart drop, using a 6x2.5mm gold-plated ice-pick bail.
Earring Instructions
Step 1
Cut a 5-inch length of Accu-Flex® 49-strand 0.019-inch diameter copper beading wire.
Step 2
Place a bead stopper on one end of one strand of the beading wire.
Step 3
String the following onto the beading wire:
- One 8x3mm gold-plated oval bead
- One 4mm Preciosa Czech crystal smoked topaz round bead
- One 8x3mm gold-plated oval bead
- One 4mm Preciosa Czech crystal clear round bead
- One 4mm Preciosa Czech crystal topaz round bead
- One 4mm Preciosa Czech crystal clear round bead
- One 8x3mm gold-plated oval bead
- One 4mm Preciosa Czech crystal smoked topaz round bead
- One 8x3mm gold-plated oval bead
Repeat the bead-stringing pattern.
Step 4
String onto the beading wire: one 2.5m gold-finished round crimp and one Accu-Guard™ gold-plated 5mm tube wire protector. Pass the beading wire back through the crimp. Pull the beading wire so the crimp rests snug against the Accu-Guard, leaving approximately 1/4 inch of beading wire on the end. Crimp then trim the excess from the short end of the beading wire. Finish with a 4mm gold-plated crimp cover.
Step 5
Attach a 17mm gold-plated fishhook ear wire.
Step 6
Find the center of the beaded strand, which should be between two 8x3mm gold-plated oval beads. Attach a Preciosa Czech crystal 10mm crystal lava pendant heart drop, using a 6x2.5mm gold-plated ice-pick bail.
Step 7
Repeat Steps 1 - 6 to create a second earring.
