- Jump ring, gold-plated, 8mm round, 20 gauge / 6.4mm inside diameter / brass
- Clasp toggle, "pewter" (zinc alloy), 18mm double-sided beaded round, gold-finished
- Beading wire, Accu-Flex®, nylon and stainless steel, Dijon gold, 49 strand, 0.019-inch diameter
Instructions
Cut an 18-inch length of Accu-Flex® 49-strand 0.019-inch diameter Dijon gold professional-quality beading wire.
String onto the beading wire: one 2.5mm gold-finished corrugated round crimp and one Accu-Guard™ 5mm gold-plated tube wire guard. Pass the beading wire back through the crimp. Pull the beading wire so the crimp rests snug against the Accu-Guard, leaving approximately 1/4 inch of beading wire on the end. Crimp, then trim the excess from the short end of the beading wire. Finish with a 4mm gold-plated round crimp cover.
String on your choice of beads. To replicate the pattern shown, string the beads on in the following order:
- One Preciosa #8 gold rocaille seed bead
- Five Preciosa 2.8-3.2mm soft thyme rocaille seed beads
- One Preciosa #8 gold rocaille seed bead
- Five Preciosa 2.8-3.2mm soft thyme rocaille seed beads
- One Preciosa 2.8-3.2mm white sage rocaille seed bead
- One Preciosa #8 gold rocaille seed bead
- One Preciosa 2.8-3.2mm white sage rocaille seed bead
- Five Preciosa 2.8-3.2mm light mahogany rocaille seed beads
- One Preciosa #8 gold rocaille seed bead
- Five Preciosa 2.8-3.2mm light mahogany rocaille seed beads
- One Preciosa 2.8-3.2mm white sage rocaille seed bead
- One Preciosa #8 gold rocaille seed bead
- One Preciosa 2.8-3.2mm white sage rocaille seed bead
- Five Preciosa 2.8-3.2mm pale eucalyptus rocaille seed beads
- One Preciosa #8 gold rocaille seed bead
- Five Preciosa 2.8-3.2mm pale eucalyptus rocaille seed beads
- One Preciosa 2.8-3.2mm white sage rocaille seed bead
- One Preciosa #8 gold rocaille seed bead
- One Preciosa 2.8-3.2mm white sage rocaille seed bead
Repeat the pattern in Step 3 four more times.
String on the following:
- Five Preciosa 2.8-3.2mm soft thyme rocaille seed beads
- One Preciosa #8 gold rocaille seed bead
- Five Preciosa 2.8-3.2mm soft thyme rocaille seed beads
- One Preciosa #8 gold rocaille seed bead
Crimp the end of the strand as you did in Step 2.
Using a 4mm 20-gauge gold-plated round jump ring, attach one half of an 18mm gold-finished beaded round toggle clasp to one end of the necklace. Repeat for the other half of the clasp and the other end of the necklace.
Find the gold bead at the center of the necklace. Using an 8mm 20-gauge gold-plated round jump ring, attach an Amoracast® 12mm “vermeil” plumeria flower charm, passing the jump ring through the center bead.
