Instructions
Cut 1/16 of a bar of ecru Sculpey® PREMO polymer clay.
Divide the piece of clay you just cut into two evenly sized pieces and roll each into a ball.
Press each ball between your thumb and forefinger to flatten.
Using a toothpick, make a hole in the center of each flattened ball. Then make a hole at the top of each “donut” large enough for the cup peg.
With the side of the toothpick, smooth out a ring around the side of each “donut,” mimicking the flat ring that deep-fried donuts usually have.
Using a hobby knife, scrape off some yellow and brown chalk pastel. With a paintbrush, apply the chalk to the donuts, creating a golden-brown finish. Use the darker tones around the edges.
Mix brown chalk pastel scrapings with translucent clear Liquid Sculpey® polymer clay. Apply this glaze to the donuts.
Bake the “donuts” at 275 degrees Fahrenheit (135 degrees Celsius) for 20 minutes. Let the “donuts” cool completely.
Apply Sculpey glossy acrylic emulsion glaze to the “donuts.” While it is still wet, add opaque peach coated glass undrilled micro round beads so they look like sprinkles on the donut. Let the glaze dry.
Mix 2-part Devcon 5 Minute® Epoxy and place a small amount on the cup peg. Screw the cup peg into the hole on the top of the donut. Repeat for second donut. Let it dry.
Using chain-nose pliers, open the loop on the ear wire and insert it into the loop on the cup. Then close the loop on the ear wire. Repeat for the second earring.
