Single-Strand Fawn-Themed Necklace with Sculpey® PREMO Polymer Clay, Crystal Passions® Pearl and TierraCast® Antique Brass-Plated Poppy Drop

Cut off about 1/2-ounce of Sculpey® PREMO raw sienna polymer clay (1/4 of a 2-ounce bar). Condition it well and then roll it out to about 1/4-inch thick.

Using a TierraCast® 29mm round drop cabochon setting as a guide, trace a circle of clay. Cut the circle out with a craft knife and place it into the setting, making sure it fits snugly. Trim any excess clay.

Use tiny pieces of Sculpey PREMO white polymer clay to make a pattern of dots reminiscent of the coat of a fawn on the raw sienna polymer clay circle in a random pattern.

Using a craft knife, score the surface of the clay to resemble fur. Be careful not to cut too deeply or smear the white spots.

Leaving the clay in the setting, bake according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Let the setting and clay cool completely. Then lift the clay out of the setting in glue it in place using E6000® PREMIUM™ clear adhesive.

Using an 8mm 18-gauge gold-plated round jump ring, attach the drop to an 18-inch antique brass-plated long & short 5mm flat oval chain.

Thread a Crystal Passions® 4mm white round pearl onto a 1.5-inch 21-gauge antique gold-plated head pin. Make a wrapped loop in the end of the head pin. 

Attach the drop to an 8mm 18-gauge gold-plated round jump ring, then attach a second jump ring to that. Attach that second jump ring to the jump ring holding the polymer clay drop.
