Everyday working jewelry for the office, except this piece, which was created for a future daughter-in-law.
What inspires you as a designer-artist?
Clothes, different beads

Crystals, pearls and unique beads

Princess Bride
What inspired this design?
My future daughter-in-law and a picture of a necklace she wanted.
How did it come together? For example, did you plan it out or did it define itself once you began working?
I planned it out.
When and how did you begin making jewelry/beading?
I bought a piece to carry keys from a big box store, but it didn't go with everything.
Who introduced you to beading?
Myself and a co-worker.
Do you have an artistic background?
Not really. I work in a retail store and get to create wall displays with clothes, shoes, and jewelry.
How did you discover Fire Mountain Gems and BeadsĀ®?
From a co-worker who ordered from Fire Mountain Gems.
What other hobbies do you have?
Reading and Sudoku
What role does jewelry-making play in your life?
Mostly hobby for now, would like to pursue a career for retirement.
If you used jewelry-making as a way to bring in income, how are you selling yourself and your jewelry?
I entered the Fire Mountain Gems contest and had one show for friends.
Any advice for aspiring jewelry-artists?
Just start experimenting and sharing with family and friends.
