Here are just a few of the many inspiring and amazing chainmaille weaves out there. We've included links to free video tutorials and illustrated instructions for each weave to guide you on your chainmaille-making journey. Once you’ve mastered these techniques, you’ll have a foundation of knowledge for experimenting with variations—and even making up your own!

Note: AR is an abbreviation for the term Aspect Ratio (AR). This is the ratio between the wire diameter and the inside diameter of a jump ring. By dividing the inside diameter by the wire diameter, you can find the AR of any size ring. View our "Chainmaille Glossary'' chart for more helpful definitions.

Jens Pind Linkage	''How to Create a Jens Pind Linkage Chainmaille Weave'' illustrated instructions	2.8	3	2.9	The strict AR is needed to properly create this weave. Any larger and you are simply creating a spiral weave.
